We chose Green Canyon in Provo–it was a two hour drive from our campground and would allow the 38 degree morning to warm up a bit. We thought we made the wrong call as we wound our way up the canyon to Provo. The trail is a “green” but it was a steady climb that was well designed and the scenery was beautiful. The sky was clear, the temps perfect, so we did make the right choice. The forest service road followed the trail and there were tons of great campgrounds with fire rings and firewood, the ones near the start even had pit toilets and water!
