Buffalo Creek-Golden and Denver

From Moab we headed north and east to Golden where we camped two days at Chief Hosa Park–the oldest RV park in the country.  Thank goodness they had new bathrooms.  A short drive put us at the light rail station that goes right into downtown Denver.  We rode it the night we got there to meet Forrest and Kaitlyn for dinner.  The next day we met up with them and two fo their friends at Bffalo Creek to Ride Little Scraggy and Nice Kitty.  Last time we were there we were huffing and puffing at 9000 feet.  It wasn’t too bad this time.  17 miles of nice rock outcroppings, rideable climbs and fun downhills.

  1. It sounds like you guys are getting acclimated to the higher altitudes. We are a bit jealous of all your riding. It has been so wet and dreary here in Michigan we haven’t gotten to ride nearly as much as we would have liked. We had our docks taken out at the cottage and it was about 48′, cloudy and drizzly. I felt sorry for the guys who had to get in the water and was very glad I wasn’t one of them!!!
