Biking at Mt. Hood is one way to keep cool on a hot day. The Timberline to Rhododendron is a 15 miles downhill (well, there are three hills) and a ‘not to be missed’ ride. There is a $2 shuttle from the bottom to Timberline Lodge. The snow was mostly gone, we pedaled over two patched and one was shoveled out. Bear grass, lupines, larkspur and other wildflowers that are gone past down are just out at that elevation. The trail has a little bit of everything- snow, loose gravel downhills, roots and rocks, berms, sand, etc. It was so good we took a second run.
