So after the not so fun day in Pendleton, we drove to Echo and parked in the parking lot on the edge of a field. Okay, well, we’ll give it a chance. To our surprise, the trails were well laid out, wildflowers were in abundance, and the terrain was well used. There were so many colors and textures of grasses as well as the flowers. We had a fun day of riding and then visited the Snow Winery who gave permission to build trails on their land. The tasting room was an old mercantile building, renovated with lovely old antiques and made into a venue for weddings, parties and wine tasting. All in all a nice day. On to Hood River and then to Bend, a day or two off from riding to visit with family, and maybe get a few days in on the bike in Bend.
