On Saturday, we spent the day with Todd and Jess and hiked up to Tamanawas Falls, The tail was a popular place and the falls were beautiful. They’ve built some burly bridges on the trail.
On the way back to HR, we made the mandatory stop at Packard Orchards for their incredible baked goodies (like Marionberry pie and warm cinnamon rolls with berries on top). That night we had dinner at the Kickstand–it has an eclectic menu and an unusual owner. He was a world champion bmx racer at age 9 and now races in Enduro mountain bike races all over the world….and of course there’s a bike shop attached to the restaurant!
Our VBO had a great view to the north, looking at Mt. Adams in Washington, but it’s hard to make out in the photo.
