AmaZen!

Today we rode the Zen trail.  When we looked at the map, it seemed like it wouldn’t be enough, so we started several miles away at Bearclaw Poppy.  We rode up Bear Claw Poppy and then up the three finders of death to the water tank, just to find out that we had to ride all the way down to the bottom to pick up the Zen trail.  But the day was beautiful and what else was there to do?  So we lost all the elevation gain from Bear Claw (500′) and then climbed the 700 feet to the top of Zen. The down the Zen, up to the top of Bear Claw (500 ft) and then down the awesome roller coaster ride back to the car. What a view, what a great trail.  Oh yes, and back to the pool and hot tub afterward.

  1. You have posted some “Amazeng” pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. I have been living vicariously through your posts this fall. since Mike has been sick we have not ridden at all (except down the street and back.) We were in such great shape in August! We could never keep up with you guys now. 😖 If we ride at all on our way down to TX it will be on rail trails, no mountain bike trails right now. We are looking forward to the spring when we can ride again.

    Love, Kathy

PS: Mike is doing much better. He is walking almost normally now and has very little pain.
