..by the shining big-sea water, the first few miles of the South Marquette trails woke us out of the flow dream and into mountain bike reality. Climbs, roots, rocks and more technical riding than we have seen so far. This club is heavily sponsored and has a fabulous facility….kiosks, changing rooms, multiple access points, a ditch witch, dual slalom race course, jump trail and pump track. After 9 days of riding we’re taking a leg break today, the 18th, and heading for Copper Mountain. Last night we walked along the shores of Lake Superior, learned about the coal and iron ore trade (coal in to fire the power power plants for the city and mines and iron ore shipped out).

Wow! Mike and I will have to get up there one of these days. Probably not this fall but maybe next year. (Don’t want to go in the spring…too many black flies!) So glad you are having such a good time. We miss you already. It was so great to have someone else to ride with.
